AN INTRODUCTION TO RACIAL TRAUMA COURSE – LIVE TRAINING
This is the LIVE version of our ground-breaking online course. The course is available for individual bookings.
It is thorough, emotionally reflexive and challenging training. It aims to equip learners with a solid understanding of racial trauma.
Although it covers less ground than our online version, it will leave learners with the foundational theoretical and, empirical underpinning of racial trauma together with strategies and tools to support those struggling with racism-related distress. The course will take place on Saturday September 18th 2021 from 10h00 to 17h00 (GTM)
*Grasp various conceptualisations of racial trauma
*Explore the lived experience of racial trauma
*Understand strategies to buffer the impact on racism on targets
The course is suitable for all helping professionals, teachers, medical staff, managers and others with an interest in psychology, mental health, social justice AND anti-racism. It is being delivered online only via zoom through presentations, discussions, videos and guided reflections.
Preparatory reading is encouraged and a reference list will be provided to that effect, one month before the start of the course.
Our standard course price is £225 for non-members and £100 for Race Reflections’ members.
