BEYOND BIAS TRAINING OVERVIEW WEBINAR

BEYOND BIAS TRAINING

Only tackling the reproduction of racism, discrimination and exclusion at micro-level within organisations as tends to be standard within Unconscious Bias Training (UBT), likely does more harm than good.

Racism occurs at ALL levels of organisational functioning and processes, including at meso and macro levels. Thus, UBT alone cannot effectively reduce racial inequality or injustice and indeed, most UBT courses may be charged with reproducing structural inequality. A serious problem given how invested many organisations are to current UBT frameworks.

BEYOND BIAS TRAINING (BBT), takes a different approach.

It does cover the impact of exclusionary behaviours at micro-levels within organisations such as through Unconscious Bias, but goes much further. It links these to history, power, and to structures. It thus encourages deep reflections on how organisations so commonly become vehicles for social inequality.

BBT has so far only been available to organisations and live, we are now preparing an online version which is will be available for both individuals and organisations.

As we prepare to launch this additional delivery formats of BBT, we are inviting relevant organisations and individuals to join us to discuss issues of structural inequality, anti-racism and, what needs attention to stop organisations from becoming microcosms of the unequal social world.

If you are interested in our course, please join us for this FREE WEBINAR which will be followed by an open discussion.
