WE ARE RECRUITING!
Job Title: VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGISTS
Location: Home-based with community work mainly from Milton Keynes and London to be agreed (likely twice a month).
Number of Positions: 2
Race Reflections is preparing its community project on Racial Trauma
Race Reflections is a social enterprise dedicated to challenging inequality, injustice and oppression. We are deeply committed to liberation and not afraid to ‘rock the boat’ to make a difference. This is what makes us leaders and innovators.
We are looking for two passionate Volunteer Assistant Psychologists to join us as we get ready to launch a Community Project Pilot on racial trauma.
Your work will be focused on the Community Project on racial trauma. This project will not be for profit, and have decolonisation at its heart. No one involved on the ground, will receive any wage or salary (similarly the Director will not take a salary or wage for her work in the community pilot, as we are hoping to offer this support to the community at no charge).
As a VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT PSYCHOLOGIST, your role will be key to helping us with the project. Whether it’d be setting up workshops on racial trauma, assisting with research, and literature reviews, or liaising with partner organisations.
Your working hours will be mainly flexible covering at least 7.5 hours per week and a maximum of 10 hours per week.
If you are interested in group analysis, in community practice and in radical/liberatory ideas…this may be the role for you.
